1. Introduction
Xerour ("we", "us", "our") operates xerour.com and its related services, including our project inquiry forms, contact forms, and the Xerour digital products store. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, and company name
- Project details you share through our inquiry form (service type, budget, timeline, project description)
- Order details when you purchase a digital product: delivery preference (installation or source-only), billing address (address, city, state, pincode), an optional GSTIN, and payment confirmation from our payment partners
- Account details: when you buy from the store, an account is created for you with your name, email, phone, and a password (stored only in hashed form — we cannot read it)
- Messages you send us through the contact form or from your dashboard, and any domain/hosting details you submit in a domain or hosting change request
- If you apply to sell on Xerour: your bank account details (India) or PayPal ID (international), plus identity and bank documents (such as ID proof, passbook, cancelled cheque, or passport) and the product files you submit
We collect the following automatically when you visit our website: a randomly generated visitor ID stored in a first-party cookie, your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and when, the website you came from, and an approximate city/country derived from your IP address using a third-party IP geolocation service.
We do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank details for purchases — payments are processed directly by Razorpay and PhonePe, our payment gateway partners, under their own security standards.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to project inquiries and contact form submissions
- To process orders placed through our store, issue GST-compliant invoices, and get in touch with you (typically within 24 hours) regarding your source code or installation
- To provide your dashboard: order history, source code downloads, messaging with our team, and domain/hosting change requests
- To review seller applications and verify identity and payout details
- To send order confirmations and service-related email notifications
- To understand how visitors use our website (traffic, devices, locations, pages viewed) and to follow up on checkouts that were started but not completed
- To improve our services and website
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Payment processors (Razorpay, PhonePe) to complete transactions
- Service providers who help us operate our website and email communications, including an IP geolocation service that receives visitor IP addresses to return an approximate city/country
- Authorities, where required by law
5. Data Storage & Security
Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled servers. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below.
7. Cookies
We use a first-party cookie (xerour_sid, kept for up to 30 days) to recognize repeat pageviews from the same browser for our own visitor statistics, and a session cookie to keep you logged in to your dashboard. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though you may need to log in again.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
