Selling 3D assets, logos and graphics: a creator checklist
What buyers expect when they purchase design files, and how to package your work so it sells.
Digital asset marketplaces are growing because businesses need polished visuals without waiting weeks for a custom project. If you create 3D models, logos, illustrations or brand kits, you can turn that work into repeatable income.
Package the files properly
Include the formats buyers actually use: source files, exported PNG/SVG, and a short readme. For 3D files, add a preview render, polygon count and the software version you used. For logos, include vector files and a simple usage guide.
Show the result, not just the file
A flat preview is not enough. Show the asset in context: a product mockup, a website hero, a game scene or a social post. Buyers want to imagine the finished result.
Be clear about licensing
State what the buyer can do with the asset. Can they use it in a client project? Can they resell it? A short licence section prevents most support questions before they start.
Keep the listing updated
If you improve the files, update the listing and tell existing buyers. A small update is a strong signal that the product is actively maintained.
